Quality Control Inspector 2.6 2.6 out of 5 stars Camden, NY 13316 Job Purpose The QC Inspector is expected to perform tasks to aid and support production. This role is to maintain or improve the quality of the product that comes from the production area or final inspection area (DMR) and visually inspect reels ready to be shipped for any discrepancies. This will also include ensuring all tasks and responsibilities are conducted in a safe manner and with a focus on producing quality products within the time required by our customers, and ensuring they are completed at the lowest cost possible.

Duties and Responsibilities Operations:

Perform standard responsibilities as a QC Inspector within the assigned department – they include the following: Operate in accordance with all safety and quality policies and procedures Meet or exceed demonstrated job functions Aide production associates with supplying lines for feedstock and production materials as measured by waiting “Q” time Responsible for pickup of the DMR from Final Inspection Must weigh and tag scrap boxes at the end of every shift. Replace the box with a new empty box Backup lines with correct feedstock per Method Masters Maintain feedstock/reel storage areas Proper storage using signage/inventory lanes utilizing First In First Out (FIFO) method Safely operate fork truck/pallet jack Move reels without damaging them or the product Able to recognize different reel sizes Differentiating between different types of wire Complete fork truck safety checklist daily Must be able to visually inspect incoming/outgoing wire Able to tag in reels of wire Able to conduct all Quality Control Measurements. Ability to use all measurement equipment Knowledge of how to make all measurements Perform daily gram scale calibration Able to read and utilize information on Method Master. Able to enter data to

Company Computer Training:

Conduct on-the-job training for new employees that are assigned to the department.

Daily communication with supervisors, operators, and other shifts to ensure operational objectives are met. Comply with lean manufacturing initiatives within department. Provide continuous improvement ideas for Safety, On-Time Delivery, Quality, Cost Reduction and Efficiency. Support and comply with company policies and procedures as applicable.
