Full Job Description Position:

Quality Technician Location:

North Syracuse, NY

BROAD FUNCTION

Support the manufacturing and quality assurance processes by conducting inspections, processing MRB (Material Review Board) activities, managing rework and scrap materials, and ensuring compliance with company and industry standards. Help reduce waste, identify root causes, and improve product quality through precise documentation and collaboration.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on materials and products. Identify and process non-conforming materials through the MRB system. Document rework and scrap incidents and collaborate on root cause analysis. Use precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers) for accurate evaluation. Maintain quality records and reports in compliance with company policies. Support internal and external audits and help maintain

compliance. Collaborate with production and engineering to drive corrective actions. Assist in implementing quality improvement processes and initiatives. Follow established procedures to ensure consistent quality standards. Communicate clearly with supervisors and cross-functional teams on quality matters. Perform all other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification in Quality Control or Manufacturing preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing quality role with direct involvement in MRB, rework, and scrap analysis.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of quality assurance principles, methods, and tools. Familiarity with MRB, root cause analysis, and documentation procedures. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Hands-on experience with inspection equipment and ERP systems. Competency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel and Word). Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Team-oriented mindset and proactive problem-solving ability.
