Primary Purpose Summary The Test & Measurement Technician (TM)supports all metrology activities for the Congers site. The TMTechnician works closely with the Quality, Production, Engineeringand Molding departments as well as external parties to implementand execute methods and maintain Inspection, Measuring, and TestEquipment at the Congers facility. The TM Technician alsocontributes to problem solving and continuous process improvementefforts regarding Aptar products and their manufacturing processes.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Perform routine inspection onTest and Measurement equipment. Assist in measurement and testmethod transfers for all measurement equipment. Maintain Gage R & Rand perform calibrations of equipment as required. Generateappropriate documentation regarding test and measurementactivities. Develop and maintain strong communications with theQuality, Manufacturing and Engineering Departments to help resolvequality issues. Maintain all test and measurement equipment andsupport audits on department matters. Support department activitycompliance to
ISO 17025.
Required Qualifications High school ortechnical school education. Bachelor’s Degree in a technical fieldpreferred. 2 years’ experience working in the field of metrology oran equivalent position with experience using basic measuringinstruments, CMM, OGP, calibration tools and test equipment.
Ability to use metrology measurement tools, including 3D instrument(OGP Smartscope, Hexagon Chrome, Instron, Mahr, Jenoptik).Knowledge of MSA (Measurement Systems Analysis) & SPC (StatisticalProcess Control). Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning &Tolerancing). Skills/Abilities Independent self-starter withexcellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient withMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and MS Project.
Experience writing protocols, data analysis, and validationreports. Experience with Statistic software preferred Knowledge of
ISO, CFR 21
regulations.
