Summary:
Dime Community Bank (“Dime”) is currently hiring for an Audit Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst, at its Headquarters in Hauppauge, Long Island. As an Audit QA Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to provide improvements to the processes and results of the Internal Audit Department while ensuring they align with professional practices. This includes providing support for Internal Audit operations, quality assurance, professional practices, finding management reporting, coordinating department reporting deliverables, and monitoring key performance indicator reporting. The Audit QA Analyst will also coordinate with department champions and assist with the implementation of best practices. Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $50,000 to $58,000 annually. The exact compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, education, training, licensure and certifications, and location. All applicants must attach a recent resume. This is not a remote role. This is a hybrid role (4 days in office/1 day remote).
Responsibilities :
Coordinate weekly and monthly findings management reporting process, and ongoing monitoring, escalation, and reporting. Coordinate with the Bank’s Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) application champion on integration and reporting activities related to Internal Audit. Assist in the maintenance and updates of audit policies, methodology, and charter and assess alignment with industry and regulatory guidelines and best practices. Provide formal communication and training to the Internal Audit department with respect to ongoing department updates and changes. Coordinate the maintenance and production of key Internal Audit metrics and reporting (e.g., training, certifications, Audit Plan schedule/deliverables, risk assessment). Monitor department utilization activities, including budget to actual hours comparison. Coordinate and gather support for regulatory inquiries and requests, as applicable. Coordinate the department’s group and local chapter Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) membership activities. Perform quality reviews of risk assessments, issues validation, audit workpapers, and other audit activities, as applicable. Support and back up the department’s Teammate administrator in monitoring and testing of upgrades, enhancements, troubleshooting, and licensing monitoring and renewals. Assist in onboarding/offboarding of staff and consultants, including providing new hire orientation, guidance, and coordination. Assist in managing the Department’s expense management, particularly consulting expenses, and invoice processing. Support other department-wide initiatives and other duties as assigned, including special projects and assignments under the direction of department management. Oversee the department’s philanthropy and team building activities and represent the department in bank-wide initiatives and programs. Support other department initiatives and needs, as applicable.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in IT or Analytics or similar background preferred . Relevant professional certification a plus (i.e., CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE). Public accounting firm, SOX, compliance, or risk management experience a plus. Self-starter, desire to learn, able to teach others, positive attitude and flexible. Broad knowledge of banking, accounting, and risks and controls a plus. Ability to communicate effectively with management on all levels. Ability to work in a very detailed manner as well as to look broadly across a population and develop connections and themes identifying risks and concerns. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to quickly change direction as needed. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products. Strong organizational, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
