Day Job Description:
We are seeking a Receiving Inspector Level 3 to support peak period operations in our East Setauket, NY facility. This role involves inspecting incoming materials and components to ensure they meet quality and specification requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical inspection and familiarity with standard industry tools and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Perform inspections on purchased parts, materials, components, and equipment upon receipt. Determine or assist in determining appropriate inspection methods, sequences, and procedures. Interpret and work from engineering drawings, sketches, and technical specifications. Use CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) and a variety of precision measuring tools and gauges. Adapt inspection devices and procedures as needed to suit various product types. Accurately summarize and report inspection results in required formats.
Required Skills:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a related inspection or quality control role. Proficient with CMM and precision measurement gauges. Strong understanding of mechanical inspection standards and techniques. Familiarity with Office365 and basic reporting tools. High attention to detail and excellent documentation skills.
