Job Summary In efforts to provide world-class metal finishes to our valued customers, we are looking for a highly engaged and experienced Quality Manager to join our team. The Quality Manager will oversee all inspection and secondary activities to ensure our metal finishing services meet customer expectations. The Quality Manager develops and implements any quality-focused program. The successful candidate will be a process-oriented thinker with an eye for detail. Providing leadership and technical guidance to Associates in the development, implementation, training, and improvement of processing to ensure EPCO finishing and anodizing is defect-free. The candidate will also possess a sense of responsibility towards our potential and existing customers. The goal is to help preserve our reputation by ensuring that our services drive sustainable growth and foster a quality culture, in which all employees become actively engaged in guaranteeing quality in both production and the finished product.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own & manage EPCO Inspection Operations team to meet business initiatives (100% on-time delivery, eliminate rework, enhance customer communications).
- Analyze and investigate product complaints or reported quality issues within 24 hours of notification to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines and external requirements.
- Plan, execute, and oversee inspection and testing of incoming and outgoing products to confirm quality conformance to specifications and quality deliverables.
- Interpret, collect, and analyze quality metrics. Build upon and comply with company quality assurance standards.
- Act as the final voice in approving or rejecting internal products after inspection.
- Maintain and meticulously organize the inspection department while keeping accurate documentation as required.
- Submit detailed reports to the appropriate parties. Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement to allow for better efficiency.
- Understand the requirements of Erie Plating Company’s quality system registrations and accreditations.

- Communicate areas of accountability and performance expected of personnel assigned and determine those standards to support internal growth.
- Coordinate work hours to ensure that all staffing needs are met to effectively perform job responsibilities.

- Implement goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and timely.
- Disseminate quality and business initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED; 5-10 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Outstanding communication skills
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills with Metal Finishing experience
- Maintain current training and demonstrate competence to audit against
IATF 16949, ISO
9000, and NADCAP standards.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Knowledge of different metal materials and their characteristics.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects to 50lbs.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- A basic knowledge of chemistry is preferred but not required.
Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general documents, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or complaints.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply principles of logic or scientific thinking to a wide range of practical problems. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
