Quality Assurance TechnicianJob Description As a QA Lab Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining quality standards within the facility. You will adhere to cGMP and BRC standards, perform quality control checks on the floor, and conduct lab testing of raw materials and in-process products. Your responsibilities will include advising on SOP updates, conducting internal audits, performing investigations and root-cause analysis, and completing data entry and reporting via Excel. The role requires cross-functional communication between all manufacturing departments and leadership, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities + Adhere to cGMP and BRC standards. + Conduct quality control checks on the floor and lab testing of raw materials and in-process products. + Advise on updating SOPs. + Perform internal audits. + Conduct investigations and root-cause analysis. + Complete data entry and reporting via Excel. + Facilitate cross-functional communication between manufacturing departments and leadership. + Work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Essential Skills + Quality assurance and quality control expertise. + Familiarity with GMP and food safety standards. + Proficiency in Excel and documentation control. + Knowledge of biology and scientific disciplines. + Ability to perform titrations and microbiology testing. + Experience with laboratory equipment and food science. + Understanding of lab documentation. Additional Skills & Qualifications + AS or BS in Biology or any Scientific discipline. + 1-2 years of experience in food quality. + Proficiency in mathematics and computer usage. + Bilingual skills preferred. Work Environment The plant operates 24/7, and this position is for the 2nd shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Per GMP guidelines, artificial nails, eyelashes, and visible jewelry are not permitted, and closed-toed shoes, long pants, and long-sleeve shirts are required. A uniform and freezer jackets will be provided, as the role involves working in and out of the freezer throughout the day. The team consists of an Assistant Quality Manager and three technicians per shift. There are incentives for perfect attendance, successful completion of training, and opportunities for advancement. The company strongly promotes work-life balance, ensuring two consecutive days off, including a weekend day. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.95 – $19.95/hr.
