Quality Incoming Inspector Job Summary:
We are looking for someone with an exceptional eye for detail to join our company as a Quality Incoming Inspector. You will inspect products both visually and with measurement tools. Your job is to ensure the products we receive are of consistently high quality and adhere to relevant specifications. As a quality incoming inspector, you are an invaluable member of our team, ensuring the highest quality of raw materials from our vendors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Operate Brown & Sharp CMM and program with CAD models. Design fixturing, manage and interpret data collection and reporting software. Write, develop, validate and debug programs and provide the supporting QA documentation. Create inspection documents, balloon drawings, and Inspection Plans. Read drawings with GD&T, profiles, true position, datums, etc. Measure using an CMM, Optical Comparator, Micrometers, Height-Stands, Indicators, Calipers, Thread Gages, V-blocks, Height Gage, and large number of other various gages. Create instructions and manage data using Minitab, Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, Word, and Outlook. Utilize production data. Excellent problem-solving skills, highly analytical, use fact-based problem-solving methods with strong interpersonal team-building skills including the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization. Inspect size, locations, surface finish, general appearance and any other necessary areas Make judgement on the inspected part and seek approval of deviated parts Adhere to company Quality Management System requirements Maintain a clean and orderly work area Other related duties as assigned. Assist with the calibration system. Assist with corrective and preventive actions in 8D format. Other duties as assigned by Quality Control Lead or Quality Control Manager Some knowledge of SPC. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 45 pounds. Perform a wide variety of gauging set-ups and devise methods of checking unusual parts.
