Job Description:
Working in a machine shop/fabrication environment. Seeking individuals with over 5 years of experience in inspecting various products, primarily sheet metal enclosures. The role involves leading quality inspections as outlined below:
To perform inspection and testing responsibilities to insure that final product shipped conforms to all customer specifications. Responsibility for the quality of each part inspected.
Duties and responsibilities:
CMM experience Kiosk CMM
Perform dimensional and visual inspection utilizing precision measuring tools and CMM.
Must have excellent skills in reading and interpreting technical drawings and measuring parameters.
GD&T understanding is important.
Background with 1st article inspection reports.
Perform first article, piece, in-process as well as final inspection utilizing different automated and manual equipment for inspection.
Interact effectively and professionally with all internal and external customers. Coordinate all quality related correspondence with the customer, project engineers and resolve inspection questions.
Interaction with purchasing to establish quality requirements from external suppliers and coordination all required material certifications.
Interaction with Engineering to establish proper measuring methodology and assist in design of measuring fixtures as required. Identify the proper procedure to conduct quality test and inspections.
Experience with ISO 9001 or equivalent quality management system.
Excellent analytical skill and a clear understanding of manufacturing processes of CNC machined goods.
Update and maintain inspection documents, forms, logs, conformance certificates etc.
Identify root cause of problems, analyze and develop corrective actions working with the shop floor and engineering.
Must have excellent organizational and time management skills. Must be able to multi-task while setting priorities that are in line with production and customer needs.
Ensure calibration and maintenance is performed on all inspection equipment.
Initiate Non-conformance reports as required.
Working on the manufacturing floor checking in process parts for quality.
Skills:
CMM experience
Strong mathematics background a must. A comprehensive understanding of geometric dimensioning & tolerancing as defined by
ASME Y14.5M
—1994.
High School diploma or above.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to work overtime as required.
