Job Overview:

The Quality Technician performs a variety of tests to ensure units function according to specifications or to determine cause of unit failure, using test instruments: Reads test schedule, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications, and schematics to determine testing procedure and equipment to be used. Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections per applicable prints and specifications.

Responsibilities:

Good working knowledge of all Standard Inspection Equipment Required. Experience with advanced inspection equipment such as Faro, Romer, Keyence is preferred, but not required Knowledge of NDE inspection methods (VT, PT, MT, UT, X Ray) is preferred, but not required Record and report any nonconformities, by documenting the nonconformance through tags, forms, pictures, measurements, or documentation. Recording data and experience within SAP or similar online system. Maintain electronic records, including but not limited to, scanning documents to email, saving documents and photographs, renaming files. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint). Incoming, in-process, and final inspections: Works with the production and engineering staff to support any receiving or in-processes inspections and perform final inspection activities. Reports to senior management on the state of the quality system as defined in the Quality documents. Follow detailed Quality plans through the shop to ensure all processes are completed and results are recorded.

Quality Activities:

Administers all document control activities associated with the quality system including but not limited to; the Quality Manual, Quality Procedures, Work Instructions, Non

  • Conformances, Inspection Reports, etc.

Assist with calibration activities, both internal and external.

Customer Issues:

Resolution and disposition of quality issues raised by customers and suppliers. This includes working with customer service, field service, and engineering to resolve issues as quickly as possible.

Documentation:

Develops documentation of the Company’s quality system to satisfy the standards of

ISO-9001
  • 2015 Maintains a clean and orderly work area by disposing of trash and broom sweeping the work area.

Operate crane equipment with pendant, radio, or cab control to transport and position materials, parts, supplies, units, etc. Selects proper and safe rigging and/or assists where required by the size or shape of the load. Assist Manufacturing Associates by interpreting the drawings or assist with measurements to provide a good quality part. Observes safe working practices and all applicable plant rules.

Requirements:

2+ years of experience in a manufacturing / quality environment. High School diploma or GED is required.

Able to stand for extended periods of time and handle heavy loads (up to 50lbs) Ability to work both independently, with little supervision and as a team Ability to adjust quickly to changing priorities and conditions
