Summary:

The Quality Assurance Technician will ensure compliance of in-process and finished products during the manufacturing process in accordance with written procedures and established specifications. The Quality Assurance Technician receives guidance and direction from the CST Quality Assurance Sr. Technician and reports directly to the Director of Quality.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the day-to-day operation of the CST Quality Management System. Provide assistance with creating, reviewing, authenticating, maintaining and implementing Quality Management System documents; including Policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs) working in collaboration with the Quality Assurance and Operations teams. Daily review of production / quality / sanitation documentation to ensure compliance, requesting corrections where applicable and maintaining process Quality documentation. Perform daily monitoring of facility and personnel to ensure Good Housekeeping Practices, Sanitary conditions and compliance to the Quality Management System policies and protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s); reporting deficiencies/deviations to Production and Quality Management and implementing corrective action where applicable. Provide Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) training to employees. Execute Nonconforming protocol where applicable, ensuring nonconformances are identified (NCR) and quarantined and issuing Correctives Actions where applicable. Collect samples and perform testing of in-process product to ensure quality and adherence to product specifications, reporting results discovered to be out of specification to Production and Quality Management and implementing corrective action where needed. Perform daily, in-process calibration verification checks (metal detection and scales), ensuring equipment is within calibration certification; taking corrective action where required. Generate finished product Certificates of Analysis (COAs) based on analysis/testing results where required. Perform finished products sampling and inspection; maintain retention samples program. Verify correct component against the work order including batch number, labels, packaging, etc. prior to production start. Perform/Ensure equipment and production line clearances/set-up are performed prior to production runs; release production lines for operations. Perform scheduled internal audits to assess compliance with

ISO 22716

2007 Cosmetic Good Manufacturing Practices standards; documenting findings and issuing Corrective Actions when applicable. Collaborate with operations to troubleshoot manufacturing deficiencies/defects. Interact with co-workers in a professional manner. Other projects/duties as assigned by Quality Management. Liaise between production and quality teams; providing technical support as needed. Conduct raw material sampling and testing to verify/validate conformance to manufacturer CofA in accordance with written procedures. Conduct intermediate and finished product testing to ensure product quality and safety specifications. Collect, catalog, and maintain raw material and finished product retention samples. Review of production / quality testing documentation to ensure compliance, requesting corrections where applicable and maintain records as required. Address, adequately document, and resolve technical issues that may arise from routine analysis. Collect and submit finished product samples for microbial contamination, maintaining lab reports as required. Provide technical support for investigations into product nonconformities. Conform to laboratory Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and plant Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety practices. Generate finished product Certificates of Analysis (COAs) based on analysis/testing results where required. Perform other related duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements:

Ability to read, write, comprehend, and follow instruction and work documents in English Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external personnel.
