Job Duties:
Ensure compliance with Corporate SHE (Safety Health, and Environment) objectives and requirements.
Report any safety or performance issues to Shift Manager
Ensure that for every quality incident and logistic incident, a fast reaction is anticipated and managed with Plant. Prepare all information needed to understand and solve the issue (pictures, defect description, quantity, traceability …) and communicate to the Plant with the appropriate reporting.
Ensure any rework instructions and its applications are properly completed.
Set-up quality wall and train the quality wall quality inspectors (also third party) according to the customer requirements or depending on the quality results. Manage the resulting action plan and daily reporting with objective of removing the quality wall as soon as possible.
Provide competence on Dimensional and Cosmetic appearance assessment and measurement.
Participate in customer quality performance meetings.
Participate to 8D analysis.
Support the definition of limit samples together with the project team for new products.
Participate and support program launch.
Support in collecting lessons learned.
Ensure all programs, advanced program teams & plant teams are informed of the changing customer quality requirements and updates.
Supports Program build trials.
Identify process issues that have a detriment affect to quality.
Run containment/ plant sweeps when required.
Record, report and follows-up on production line concerns.
Perform product audits at reception, in stock or on the customer production line. Ensure that product handling specifications are followed and anticipate customer requests and preventive actions.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by manager.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Inspector skills at a high level with familiarity of quality for plastic injection molded parts; understanding of class A or surface/fascia parts quality requirements a plus
Ability to identify potential problems and escalate when needed
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Detail Oriented
Must have an understanding of Microsoft Outlook and Basic Microsoft Excel
