This role supports students, advisors, and administrative staff by providing expert knowledge of degree requirements and graduation processes. The specialist will collaborate with various departments to evaluate and process degree audits, monitor student progress, and resolve discrepancies in student records.
Key Responsibilities Degree Audits:
Perform comprehensive reviews of student academic records to ensure compliance with degree requirements. Utilize Jenzabar to process, update, and verify audits.
System Maintenance:
Maintain and update degree audit software and databases to reflect program and curriculum changes. Ensure accurate and up-to-date degree requirement information.
Student Support:
Assist students by interpreting degree audits, explaining academic requirements, and helping them understand what is needed to complete their programs. Address any discrepancies in their academic records.
Collaboration:
Work closely with academic departments, registrars, and advisors to resolve issues related to student records, program changes, or academic exceptions.
Training and Support:
Provide training and support to staff, faculty, and students on the use of the degree audit system. Develop and maintain instructional materials and resources.
Policy Compliance:
Ensure that degree audits comply with institutional policies, accreditation standards, and state regulations.
Continuous Improvement:
Suggest and implement improvements to the degree audit process and systems to increase accuracy, efficiency, and user experience Required Skills and Attributes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders. Strong organizational and time-management skills
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as education, information systems, or business.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in higher education, particularly with student records, degree audits, or registrar functions.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in degree audit systems, student information systems, and reporting tools. Strong Excel and database management skills.
Knowledge:
