Who You Are:
As a Supplier Quality Specialist at Urban Electric, you are a detail-driven problem solver with a passion for quality. In this role, you will be instrumental in inspecting and measuring incoming components, ensuring they meet our high standards for both form and function. You’ll also support supplier quality investigations and contribute to process improvements through thorough reporting and collaboration. A Day in the
Life:
Conduct inspections using mechanical and electronic tools, as well as visual analysis, to verify component accuracy and aesthetics. Assist with First Article Inspections (FAI) on all new components or new vendors Participate in routine testing on incoming components to determine if the products meet company requirements Sort, mark and repack material for inventory. Create accurate and detailed reports based on component inspections Maintain and update quality procedures Set daily priorities for part inspections Value teamwork and collaborative problem solving Participate in containment and investigation of internal and external product nonconformances Lead the inspections of COM shades and work closely with the Shade Team What Will Set You Up for
Success:
A high school diploma or equivalent. Strong organizational skills, including written/verbal communication and creative problem solving Advanced attention to detail and a discerning eye for aesthetics. Excellent computer operation skills and ability to learn new software platforms (Frameworks, SSRS, Quality Logs, Excel spreadsheets) Ability to understand and operate basic product testing equipment (caliper, micrometer, electrical multi-meter, etc) Comfortable with doing basic algebra and geometry. A strong understanding of print sets and the ability to interpret dimensions and understand tolerancing. Lift up to 30lbs often and up to 50lbs occasionally Comfortable with basic shop tool use Standing or walking frequently each day Pushing, pulling, lifting, twisting, walking You are motivated and driven.
