Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Obtain job assignments from lead, supervisor or manager.
Work safely in accordance to plant safety guidelines including cardinal rules of safety.
Adheres to quality processes including in-process visual inspection to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
Correctly interpret work instructions and verify documentationUnload trucks – (Visual Inspection, Verification of received goods)Prepare materials for inspectionsPull stock to prepare shipmentsPalletize goods (banding, wrapping etc.)Basic system transactions in QMSBasic packaging tasks (weigh count, labeling, visual inspection etc.)Part marking verificationMaintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Perform daily housekeeping / 6S activities as required.
Perform other duties as requested by lead, supervisor or manager.
Required Skills:
Basic knowledge of shipping processes and equipment, to include prior forklift experience.
The ability to navigate intranet to locate process documents – basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
The ability to read and interpret work instructionsExperience and Education0 to 1 year of manufacturing experience; prior military experience; or technical certification / degree requiredGED or High School diplomaMinimum 6 months prior experience operating powered industrial equipment
Working Conditions:
Constant exposure to indoor / outdoor manufacturing environmentConstant exposure to moderate noiseWorking conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes, odors, hot / cold temperatures, inside / outside noise vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces.
Must be able to work any shift including overtime, weekends and holidays if scheduled.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to thirty-five (35) pounds on a repetitive basis.
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist and work at heights on an intermittent basis for up to twelve (12) hours.
Requires hand manipulation including simple grasping, pushing and pulling of materials.
Must be able to safety operate an overhead crane.
Must be able to reach and work above and below the shoulder level.
Must be able to work with and around forklifts and hazardous machinery.
Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment.
Visual acuity skill to detect any flaws in the parts being inspected.::::::
