Job Description

Job Description The Quality Technician working in Calibration department will be responsible to assure that all gauges owned by Danfoss are maintained in the calibration system. Responsible for establishing and maintaining the computer database. Responsible to establish and maintain written calibration and inspection procedures. Recommends and requires corrective action when calibration results indicate an out-of-tolerance condition and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and

IATF 16949.

Also, will be responsible to support on quality topics like 8D and problem-solving methods for topics related to calibration area.
This is an opportunity located at our facility in Easley, South Carolina. Prospective candidates must be open to working full-time hours (i.e. 40 hours/week).
Job Responsibilities Perform “R and R” studies on measuring equipment;
Assign calibration intervals to each individual gage, taking into consideration: Calibration quality desired
Out-of-tolerance parameters
Frequency of use
Calibration and maintenance cost. Interpret drawing requirements relative to inspection/calibration procedures for functional gages;
Assures the correct function of all test equipment and make repairs and adjustments when warranted;
Write purchase requisitions for all metrology and calibration services for Q.A. and manufacturing needs;
Order gauges to replace worn or lost gauging;
Establish and maintain a listing of qualified calibration service companies;
Assist the quality supervisor in performing special assignments and tasks;
Utilize basic quality tools along with problem solving and lean manufacturing techniques in the support of continuous improvement, root cause analysis, corrective/preventive actions promoting lessons learned process;
Work on other duties and special projects as it relates to the position. Background & Skills Required (basic) qualifications: High School diploma
5 or more years related technical product exposure
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Computer literate in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Work availability- Minimum 40hrs/week. Able to interact with all levels of organization (Shop floor to Management).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred qualifications: Associate level degree in Engineering, Safety or science correlated areas.
Hydraulics or Machinery industry experience.
