FME is actively seeking a full-time Materials Laboratory Specialist for our Columbia office location. Job duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Conduct testing on soils, aggregate, and concrete conforming to the appropriate standard test methods Perform testing in accordance with testing methods developed by agencies such as the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO), and the Department of Transportation (DOT) Generate lab test reports Interface with clients Complete all required reports in a timely and accurate manner, interpreting, documenting, and storing the results Troubleshoot problems and review basic product specifications Inspect, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma Ability to demonstrate proficiency with operating a personal computer, construction material testing equipment, and to retain or gain training certifications as needed Capable of performing routine mathematical calculations Ability to routinely lift 40 to 50 lbs. Must possess a valid driver’s license Must be able to pass drug and alcohol test Ability to travel out-of-town overnight or longer as required
