Quality Inspector – ESMU

Key Responsibilities
Build travelers for ASME vessels, marking appropriate hold points for UM vessels.
Prepare and maintain Welder Performance Qualifications (WPQs) and monitor welder continuity.
Review and approve purchase orders (POs) for ASME materials.
Review and implement customer specifications in alignment with ASME requirements.
Perform weld inspections & welder testing, including peer reviews and in-process reviews, to ensurepliance with welding procedures and quality standards.
Schedule and coordinate visits with the Authorized Inspector.
Organize and oversee Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) activities as required per project scope.
Build and submit Manufacturer’s Data s (MDRs).
Witness and observe hydrotesting to verifypliance with quality standards.
Document inspection results, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
Collaborate with production staff to resolve quality issues and implement corrective measures.
Interact and schedule authorized inspectors, customer inspectors, and NDE personnel.
Maintain and update inspection records and quality documentation.
Conduct iing receiving inspections to ensure materials meet required specifications and quality standards.
Conduct final inspections onpleted products before release, ensuring they meet all quality and safety requirements.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality and process efficiency.
Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and standards.
Support internal and external audits as required.
Stay updated with industry standards, ASME code updates, and advancements in quality inspection techniques.
Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support business operations.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent experience; technical or trade school certification is preferred.
Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in welding and fabrication.
Strong knowledge of welding processes, materials, and quality standards.
