Warranty Technician in Blythewood, SC
The Warranty Technician will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and analyzing returned products to determine failure modes and assist in resolving warranty claims. This role plays a key part in supporting continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring product reliability for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, inspect, and document returned warranty parts.
Perform failure analysis through testing, disassembly, and visual inspection.
Identify root causes of product failures and provide detailed reports to engineering and quality teams.
Maintain accurate records of warranty claims, findings, and corrective actions.
Work with cross-functional teams to support corrective and preventive actions to reduce warranty issues.
Assist in tracking warranty trends and providing feedback for product improvements.
Ensure compliance with customer warranty policies and industry standards.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in automotive technology, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
2+ years of experience in warranty analysis, product testing, or quality inspection in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to disassemble and inspect components.
Familiarity with root cause analysis tools (5Why, 8D, Ishikawa diagrams).
Basic understanding of automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001) is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Proficiency in using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) and diagnostic equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document findings.
Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
