We are looking for a Quality Inspector for our Busway and Fabrication areas.
This position is based in Roebuck, SC.In this position you will, audit in-process manufactured goods and assembled products for conformance to engineering drawings and process quality standards. Additional tasks assigned as needed to support function of Quality department.
Shift Hours:
2pm-10:30pm
Hourly Rate:
$26.75 – $27.90You will win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic QualificationsQuality auditing and inspection experience (mechanical and electrical inspection).Experienced with blueprint reading and Bills of Materials.
Use of precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, scales, torque wrenches, optical comparators, etc).Familiarity with sheet-metal fabrication, thread tapping, riveting, soldering, spot welding, electrical wiring and mechanical assembly.
Proficiency with SAP transactions related to material movements and scrapSPC and PPAP handling experience preferred.
Knowledge of 8D CAPA processes and Control Plans preferredYou’ll make an impact by:
ResponsibilitiesDocument and distribute audit results.
Identify material as non-conforming (as applicable), initiate NCR process and insure product is not released until nonconformance is corrected.
Perform inspection and test of purchased, fabricated/manufactured and assembled products to determine compliance with directives and/or design specifications.
Install and test electrical components as needed to support assembly operationsMonitor and coordinate material scrap transactions through SAPConduct
ISIR/PPAP
inspections for new or revised components.
Assist Manufacturing setup and confirm correct assembly process, i.e. – correct material/parts, tools, method and sequence.
Serve as a training resource for proper assembly of product.
Perform Initial Sample Inspection at startup/changeover of new/revised product assemblies.
Assist in RGA process handling as needed.
