Scale house Operator – Part-time Confidential – Industrial Cleveland, TN 37311 We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable and organized Scale Operator to join our team. on a Part-time basis. Will be trained to buy scrap. We are seeking someone to work 2-3 days per week including

TWO SATURDAYS

per month. This is a floating position so days and number of hours could change. Minimum hours per week would be 20.

JOB SUMMARY

The Scale House Operator is the first point of contact for customers selling scrap metal at our facility. Daily responsibilities include performing initial inspection of loads, collecting, reviewing, and processing the appropriate paperwork. The Scale House Operator also ensures the safety of all customers/visitors, and other employees through observation of company safety rules and regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Greets customers and answers questions accurately in a friendly, service-orientated manner.
• Directs haulers and other traffic to appropriate location within the facility.
• Completes transactions by providing customer a scale ticket, and documenting/inputting the scrap material received.
• Keeps immediate supervisor fully informed of all matters requiring his/her attention.
• Provides general housekeeping of the Scale House and surrounding area
• Flexibility to work at least two Saturday’s per month.
• Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS REQUIRED

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Perform basic mathematical calculations accurately and efficiently
• Ability to climb a ladder
• Clear communicator and team player
• Must be able to stand and be on feet all day
• Must work outdoors under varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to speak English fluently (Bilingual in Spanish is a plus)
• Some Saturday’s will be required
• Valid Driver’s license with dependable transportation
• Must be able to pass background check
