POSITION SUMMARY
Maintain paper bag weights and stack bags on pallets in a clean and orderly manner. Select correct bag for each specific product and select the correct pallet for each specific product. Label each paper bag pallet with product codes, lot number, pallet counts and weights as directed. Label each semi-bulk bag with product codes, lot number, pallet counts and weights as directed. Sample paper bags and semi-bulk bags as required. Label each sample correctly and take it to the lab to be checked. Conduct bag weight test, operate tow motor to load flatbeds and trailers as necessary. Conduct pre-shift maintenance on bagger systems. Code bags with special codes and labels as directed by customers and run screen analyses on products as necessary.

Reporting Report any unsafe conditions to a supervisor immediately Safety Attend safety meetings Enforce all company, local, state and federal safety policies and procedures Maintain Company and Federal House Keeping Standards Quality System Implement all elements of the quality manual Maintain validity of documentation affecting the positions listed above Maintain the validity of all procedures affecting the positions listed above Back-Up Be capable of performing back-up duties as assigned Training Provide on-the-job training, as assigned Verify on-the-job training, as assigned Safe Quality Food (SQF) Ensure a SQF workplace and follow regulatory compliance with Federal FDA – Food Modernization Safety Act (CFR Code of Federal Regulations Title 21, Part 507) Support Environmental Health and Safety, as well as SQF initiatives and awareness programs Be a leader and promoter of employee safety and SQF culture Following completion of SQF training, demonstrate understanding of expected safety, SQF performance and Food Safety Culture Complete periodic SQF training(s) Each site location will ensure training is conducted for new employees and continued for existing employees Employees will actively participate in audits for regulatory, safety, SQF and environmental compliance at the site Perform other duties as assigned

Bag Weight Test Must be capable of working any shift, on-call, overtime, or seven days a week, if needed. Good verbal and written communication skills. Basic math and reading skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/projects and meeting all required deadlines. Strong sense of urgency in meeting customer needs. Good understanding of environmental, safety and the desire to following all established procedures are required. Must be able operator equipment but not limited to a forklift.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Must be physically able to perform work assigned. Must be physically capable of accessing all plant locations. Access all areas within a site which could include heights of 120 feet, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnels. Will be working in an office, mining, and minerals processing environment. The employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Mineral Particles. The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing and sitting. Ability to consistently lift over 50 pounds as needed.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
High School Diploma, GED Equivalent, or demonstrated skills or ability.
PREFFERED EDUCATION
Technical training or AA degree in technical related field is desired.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 1-3 years of previous warehouse experience in a logistic, inventory control, mining, construction, and/or heavy manufacturing environment. Must be able to operator forklift.
PREFFERED EXPERIENCE
2 – 4 years of warehouse experience in a mining environment.
