PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
Provide a safety, quality, and continuous improvement focus throughout the organization. Implement a culture of training and awareness of safely producing a quality product. Improve the customer experience by reducing the number and severity of the defects in our manufacturing process. Assist management in collecting and analyzing performance data.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITY
Conduct Safety Departmental audits Conduct Quality Operator audits Record, maintain all quality non-conformances Compose and distribute daily shift information Assist supervisors and operators with correcting non-conformances Perform sample testing of each machine Conduct training with plant personnel as needed Communicate customer complaints with plant personnel as needed Maintain quality records, complete necessary paperwork Assist with compliance to GMP, BRCGS, and C-TPAT Assist with Six Sigma Yellow Belt programs Assist with Smart Set-up programs Work closely with employees to improve the use of proper lifting techniques and stretching Assist with Safety team meetings and functions
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five year’s related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have basic computer skills and possess ability to utilize software.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Must have the ability to read and understand documents, letters, etc. and write legibly in English. Must be able to understand and speak clearly, communicate, and understand directions in English as needed.
