QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN

positionfor our East Tennessee operating locations. This position is basedout of KNOXVILLE, TN and services the surrounding areas. We offer acompetitive salary with health, dental, vision, 401K, short termdisability, long term disability and life insurance benefits.

JobResponsibilities:

The successful candidate will possess excellentinterpersonal and written communication skills and will beresponsible for a wide variety of quality control efforts includingbut not limited to testing materials produced to assure compliancewith internal and external specifications, providing technicalservices and support to internal and external customer, supportingefforts to guarantee compliance with environmental agencies,understanding of chemical analysis, attention to detail, andmaintaining control charts and other required records. Thepotential candidates for the role must be enthusiastic and have anuncompromising emphasis on safety.

Qualifications:
  • Uncompromisingfocus on safety excellence.
  • High School diploma required.
  • Testselection of materials produced to ascertain production of qualitymaterials in an effective and cost-efficient manner.
  • Monitorproduction and certify test results for use in contract procurementor completion of job quality requirements.
  • Maintain controlcharts and other records required.
  • Computer and data entry skillsrequired.
  • Skilled in operating quality control lab equipment andtesting materials.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of aggregate testingprocedures including gradations, XRF/chemistry testing, crushedcount, deleterious count, basic geological knowledge.
  • Ability toproblem solve and demonstrate critical thinking.
  • Ability to lift50 pounds continuously throughout the day.
  • Basicmechanical/repair skills.
  • Basic math and computing/technologyskills.
  • Flexible schedule (possible night and Saturday shifts).
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills; be able towork on a team.
  • Self-motivated and able to work without constantsupervision.
  • Operate testing equipment and company vehicles in aresponsible and safe manner.
  • May be called upon at discretion ofthe Manager or Quality Control Manager to perform and other dutiesassigned and/or to assist other departments if necessary.
  • Performdaily housekeeping operations and maintain a clean lab environment
