Quality Technician
Location Knoxville, TENNESSEE, USCategory Manufacturing 05/07/2025
Working under the general direction of the Quality Manager, the Quality Technician ensures consistent quality of production by verifying and validating product and process inspections. Performs testing on product samples taken from production lots, incoming materials or work in progress.

Requirements:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for testing, inspecting products and processes at various points in the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to company quality standards.
Efficiently monitor the integrity and quality of products without impeding production rates.
Ensure all products shipped comply with customer specifications and quality requirements.
Input and perform trending of key inspection process metrics; develop and maintain inspection reports.
Initiate and monitor corrective and preventive actions using technical and problem-solving skills.
Provide training to production in quality inspection methods and processes as required.
Ensure calibration and maintenance are performed on inspection equipment and other critical tools according to set schedule.
Work with other departments to resolve inspection issues.
Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency.
Conforms to all Quality and Environmental Management System policies, objectives, and obligations.
Participates in internal and external ISO Audits.
Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Hour Shifts:

Monday to Friday, 7 am – 4 pm. In addition, must work every other Sunday for 4 hours to maintain quality standards. Some evening, weekend and overtime work if necessary.
SKILLS (Preferred)
Skilled in the use and calibration of various precision measurement equipment.
Ability to analyze and interpret technical information, mechanical drawings, product specifications, etc.
Attention to detail and ethical conduct.
Ability to work alone with minimal supervision and ability to collaborate when needed.
Strong data analysis, critical, thinking, communication and problem-solving skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or GED certificate required.
Additional education and/or 3-5 years of manufacturing quality assurance experience preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. (Preferred)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Able to endure working in a manufacturing environment with inside excessive hot and cold temperatures, able to tolerate exposure to dust and noise for 8-hour shifts.
Prolonged sitting and/or standing on concrete floors; Frequent walking; Occasional bending and squatting.
Frequent reaching; Repetitive use of wrist, hands and fingers.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $16.00 – $16.00 Per Hour
