They also support QA/QC inspections, audits, and investigations. This role involves creating P.O's for tools, documenting certifications, and working on team projects. Effective communication with supervisors and peers is essential. The Quality Tech I reports directly to the QA Supervisor and may require OT.
Job Description
Performs inspection using dimensional, functional and visual attributes as required or specified. In addition to the primary inspection activities noted above, will also perform inspection of samples from new and modified tooling as well as inspection/identification of metals, plastics, finish, plating. Performs calibration, inspection and maintenance of Boundary Boards, Production gages and equipment as well as to ensure conformance to specifications described. Creating P.O’s for tools and equipment that require an outside resource for calibration and documenting/saving certs into our system. Other activities may include product or process studies support, internal filing and processing of inspection documentation and records, movement of parts and paperwork to other areas, work on team projects and other duties as assigned. Performs and supports in QA/QC inspections, Audits and Production Line investigations related but not limited to suspect item non-conformance’s and troubleshooting with the support of drawings, specifications and related documentations. Understands the Four Level Defect Grading System and consistently achieves the product quality goals and standards. Works closely with department supervisor, Quality Assurance/support staff and other co-workers to effectively problem solve, correct and prevent Category 1 and 2 quality defects and errors. This role requires support in a Task Force team for new product development, plays a key role as a QA representative, and functions within those processes. Effective communication and coordination with the lead person/supervisor and peers is necessary, and person will directly report to the QA Supervisor. All duties and responsibilities must be completed with a high level of accuracy and thoroughness. Assignments, instruction and direction will be given by the lead person as well as the supervisor or manager. OT may be required.
