PURPOSE OF POSITION
Perform check-in and check-out procedures for server racks according to established test procedures. Document issues and report potential quality-related problems to quality management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Rack Movement:
Physically move multiple racks into test locations.
Server Rack Interaction:
Handle server chassis/racks and related test equipment.
Setup and Testing:
Correctly hook up test Cables to Server Racks and use various test equipment Reconfigure Rack Servers/Equipment to get Server Racks started into test.
Checking Out Racks:
Correctly hook up test Cables to Server Racks and use various test equipment to perform various end of test systems and quality check(BBU/FST/FIBER/HIPOT Test and Check Out Procedures)
Quality Inspection:
Conduct various visual quality inspections prior Rack Check-In and Checkout.
Issue Reporting:
Document and communicate component issues (e.g., defects, damage, missing materials, test issues) to Supervisor/Lead.
Cable Setup:
Set up cables to racks following standard operating procedures.
Post-Test Procedures:
Remove test cables and power down racks after testing.
Issue Escalation:
Escalate issues to Production Technicians and Supervisors as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Able to use computers and email applications Technical computer certification is a plus. Ability to follow instructions in a fast-paced environment. High School Diploma or equivalent.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to quickly identify potential quality-related problems. Computer literate in a Windows environment; proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Internet. Maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and management. Work as part of a team and collaborate effectively. Read, understand, and follow all Work Instructions (WI’s) for each function performed. Comply with safety and other training requirements. Adhere to and support QMN’s Corporate Policies and Procedures. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by identifying all safety hazards and recommending corrective actions when necessary. Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities. Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Self-motivated with the ability to use own initiative. Flexibility to change direction frequently with little notice. Excellent planning and organizational abilities. Ability to complete projects under tight deadlines, even when there are competing requirements and changes in assignments. Recognize defects or flaws in routine parts and/or products.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Good visual color perception. Ability to stand, stoop, and bend. Ability to walk and stand on cement floors for long periods.
