General Description:
The R D Materials Laboratory Specialist will be responsible for incoming raw materials and finished products, sampling and testing of materials, batch release, internal calibrations, and submission of 3rd party testing.
Responsibilities:
Perform receipt inspection and release of Raw materials and Finished Products. Testing Raw Materials, Finished Products, and Customer Complaints per specification. Maintaining retain and standards samples Identify and quarantine non-conforming materials. Perform internal calibration in Lab Submit samples for testing for Raw Materials, Bulks, and Finished Products. Responsible for following cGMPs and safety policies and procedures. Responsible for following approved test methods and SOP’s. Perform other lab duties and projects as needed. Work as a team with other departments. Other duties as assigned
Education/Experience:
4-year related Degree preferred. 1-2 years previous experience in a quality/lab role in manufacturing or production environment An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
Skills & Knowledge:
Ability to read product specifications. Knowledge of cosmetics/beauty industry highly preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Good team player. Strong organizational skills. Knowledge of cGMP is mandatory. Must work well independently, under minimal supervision. Must perform well under pressure and deadlines.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50 pounds, climb stairs, lift, bend, kneel, stand for long periods of time
