Full Job Description Salary:
$16.63 per hour with a $0.75 shift differential The Quality Inspector maintains quality standards by approving incoming product, in process production, finished products and records the results in the La Vergne, TN distribution center. Weekend:
Friday – Sunday 7:00am – 7:30pm This person will be responsible for… Auditing product and/or information for accuracy against existing specifications/requirements Recording and reporting discrepancies found Resolving product and/or assembly issues Supporting the follow-through of discrepancies to find root cause Supporting the Non-Conforming Materials Report (NCMR) process – we will train you! Supporting the First Article (FA) process – we will train you! Providing support for all activities in the QA department You might be a great fit if… Qualifications High school diploma, or GED Computer proficiency of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word Must be able to read and write in English Strong written and verbal communication skills Able to count and recognize product Problem solving skills; able to analyze situations, including ability to spot issues in efficiency/productivity and suggest improvements Demonstrated ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams Able to adapt to changing job requirements 1 year of quality inspection experience, preferred Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferred Work Environment This position works in a warehouse/distribution center setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and can be loud. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and maneuver around pallets. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects between 15 to 25 pounds. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects over 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
