What Quality Control contributes to Cardinal Health Quality develops and implements quality policies, procedures, and processes to ensure products and services comply with regulatory standards and specifications. Quality Control is responsible for the analysis or inspection of materials, components, products or processes for compliance with specifications and standards. Job Summary The primary purpose of the Senior Tech, Quality Control is to inspect medical device component parts, molds and assembled products for errors using a computer monitoring machine (CMM) to ensure integrity and quality of production. Due to the nature and complexity of medical device production, the Senior Tech, Quality Control is instrumental in verifying and documenting all specifications and dimensions are correct and will operate as intended in the final product. This job must also conduct environmental monitoring of the production floor and handle customer complaints pertaining to malfunctioning products. Responsibilities Follows standard operating procedures to test molds, component parts and finished products for errors, documenting outcomes and ensuring effective production processes and remediation of any errors. Writes programs in software platform to assist in automation of testing processes. Collects and processes customer complaints and handles communication and dispute resolution efforts. Monitors mold equipment used in producing component parts to verify proper maintenance is being applied, and conducts particulate and viable testing to ensure production occurs in a clean and sterile environment. Administers Kappa testing with process inspectors to ensure defects can be detected consistently. Coordinates with internal stakeholders to communicate and resolve matters pertaining to medical device production.
