Bench Technician Job Description As a Bench Technician, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing process, ensuring the quality and efficiency of our products. You will conduct testing on manufactured ultrasound hand pieces to verify adherence to work instructions, using various testing equipment. Collaborating with manufacturing and quality engineers, you will address any issues to ensure product quality and provide support for manufacturing hand pieces. Responsibilities Conduct testing on manufactured pieces using testing equipment such as voltmeters, current meters, VAW meters, multi-meters, continuity testers, dielectric test equipment, frequency meters, impedance analyzers, testers, and flue electrical safety analyzers. Collaborate with manufacturing and quality engineers to address and resolve product issues. Ensure adherence to quality standards and work instructions. Provide manufacturing support for ultrasound hand pieces. Essential Skills Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role. Knowledge of FDA 820 regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Skill in soldering, repair, electronics, and calibrating. Experience with electro-mechanical systems and troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with medical device assembly and cleanroom environments. Familiarity with SAP is preferred but not required. Experience in using multimeters, dielectric testing equipment, and capacitance meters. Ability to analyze information using calipers and micrometers. Experience in sterilizing with autoclaves for final product testing. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a medical device setting that is clean, temperature-controlled, and adheres to highly regulated Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and ISO standards. The facility is quieter than most manufacturing environments, offering a smaller production space where teamwork is encouraged. Each Bench Technician will have their own desk or share with another Test Technician. The shift is from 5am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with an early finish on Fridays at 1:30pm, though it may extend to 3:30pm occasionally. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cordova, Tennessee. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 – $25.00/hr.
