Job Description
Quality Assurance Engineer Taiho Manufacturing of Tennessee, Inc. Gordonsville, TN 38563 Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in and/or coordinate internal APQP activities, including development of schedules and status reports. Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Materials and Purchasing to provide all documents and tests per DAC and Customer requirements. Coordinate check fixture and gage development with DAC Suppliers. Provide supplier support as needed. Coordinate Supplier PPAP submissions per DAC and customer requirements and maintain status reports per DAC Supplier Management Manual. Maintain supplier PPAP submission files. Alert management of any schedule concerns. Assure the PPAP approvals, or interim approvals, are communicated per applicable procedures to all affected departments. Provide requested information to Quality Engineers regarding PPAP. Participate in MRB meetings as assigned per DAC procedures. Assist in maintenance of receiving inspection sampling plans based on part histories. Assist receiving inspection in QPR issuance, suppler contact, and follow up. Coordinate in processing of QPR’s internally, including any sorting, rework, returns, and applicable chargebacks to suppliers. Monitor and follow up supplier corrective actions, including supplier visits. Maintain supplier history reports per DAC QOS and Supplier Management Manual. Assist in coordination of DAC Corrective Action System (CAS). Participate in and/or coordinate C/A activities as assigned. Provide quality support as in regards to Supplier Quality issues. Communicate supplier quality concerns to applicable departments. Maintenance of receiving inspection instructions per Control Plan requirements and applicable DAC procedures. Process potential and capability studies as needed. Monthly activity reports. Perform daily and as needed 5 S of office and lab area according to 5 S check sheet. Assist in administration of the TTN document control system. Read and Interpret Customer Drawings for use in determining overall product quality. Responsible for record retention of measured layers and gaskets, production flow labels, production & quality check sheets, receiving inspection sheets, rework reports, prototype and sample data, product/process variance reports and non conforming material reports. Education and Experience High School diploma or equivalent. Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Assurance (CQA), or 4 year degree (or willingness to obtain within one year). Minimum 2 years automotive experience.

Quality System requirements. Experienced in problem solving and reporting (i.e. 8-D, PR/R, QR, etc.). Computer literate. Experience in blueprint reading and GD&T Experience in Internal and External System Auditing. Metrology (CMM, gage calibration, measuring systems, etc.). Experience in advanced quality planning. Good communication skills, both oral and written. Experience with Microsoft Windows (Excel and Word) required.

Physical Demands:
Must be able to sit a minimum of 4 hours per day unless overtime is required (max 12 hours per day). Must be able to stand a minimum of 1 hour per day to perform static testing activities that include lifting, pulling and pushing. Must be able to lift to a height of approximately 44″ and carry a short distance, a minimum of 25 lbs. not to exceed a max weight of 35 lbs. periodically. Job requires ability to walk daily to and from the manufacturing area for the return of check sheets. Distance is approximately 50 to 75 yards. Operation requires periods when pushing and pulling may be needed at a height of 55″. This includes the use of hand tools such as T-handle, torque wrench etc. Tools weigh approximately 3.0 lbs. max. Occasional requirement of operator to stoop and kneel during verification at receiving inspection operation. Personal Protective Equipment Safety Glasses with side shields (ANSI Z87.1) Earplugs and/or ear muffs required (company issued) Ball Cap (company issued) Steel toed safety shoes (operator option) Safety gloves at all times when handling steel parts. Chemical resistant gloves for use when handling chemicals for contamination testing. Face Shield (optional use for pouring chemicals) Work Environment Work performed in a manufacturing environment that is temperature controlled at all times and well lighted throughout. The manufacturing environment includes noise from stamping presses and other equipment equal to or in excess of 85dB, thus the need for hearing protection. Use of chemicals in the operations but not considered to be detrimental to health or well being. (Refer to appropriate MSDS for full description) The general facility has fork truck and pedestrian traffic.
