out of 5 stars 1399 Gateway Drive, Gallatin, TN 37066 Quality Inspector I This is an Onsite position in Gallatin, TN 7AM-3:30PM CST Monday-Friday.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCT IONS

Performs inspection of manufactured components to certify that components meet requirements and specifications established by Beretta U.S.A. Ensures quality by identifying non-conformances thus preventing defective components from advancing in the process. Accurately documents inspections supporting the Beretta tollgate process. Performs and accurately documents daily audits/inspections supporting the Beretta operator self-inspection process. Use work instructions and tables to obtain a proper inspection plan. Interfaces with production and quality personnel to identify/segregate and initiate sorting of nonconforming products. Communicates issues with production personnel upon discovery to ensure corrective actions are taken. Interfaces with production and quality personnel to communicate issues related to the nonconforming product to assist in its review and disposition. Collects nonconforming products from areas of responsibility daily and logs tag information into an Excel spreadsheet. Upon completion, submits the nonconforming product to the team lead or Quality Engineer for MRB cage entry.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Prepares monthly activities report. Performs inspections using gages, coordinate measuring machines, or other measuring equipment. Performs other duties as assigned including product and process audits and other quality or inspection-related activities

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work is performed while sitting or standing. Visual acuity is required for close tolerances and visual inspection. Performance of tasks requires manual dexterity to handle and gauge large numbers of components daily. Requires transporting up to 40 pounds.

QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES

Must be familiar with tools and methods used in the inspection process. Knowledge of the function of the gauges used in the inspection process. Knowledge of basic mathematics. Ability to use a variety of measuring instruments to verify conformance or nonconformance of components. Read and interpret inspection instructions and tables used in determine proper inspection methods and compliance. Accurately document inspection results. Accurately read dial indicators and gages. Correctly interpret non-conformances. Transport baskets of parts weighing up to 40 pounds.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

On-the-job training is provided. Previous quality control experience and familiarity with gauging helpful.
