Description:

U.S. Tsubaki Automotive, LLC is an international tier-one supplier of high-speed chain drive systems to the automotive industry. The Quality Technician, who works under the direction of the Quality Supervisor is responsible for the day to day testing and inspecting of incoming materials.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this job are included but not limited to this job description – other tasks may be assigned and expected to be performed. Perform product identification and traceability activities, as required Document information on the computer in various databases and other internal programs; logs the assembly non-conformities and generates a report (NCR). Perform accurate mechanical, physical and visual inspection of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies as per Inspection Plans and Specification Requirements. Investigates and reports production line failures Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures. Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations. Selects materials for tests and materials for a variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics. Assists with the PPAP process. Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent Five years related experience. Basic Computer Skills Familiar with measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, indicators, force testers, CMM and RF Scanners Familiar with reading blueprints, understanding Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Knowledge of the metric system Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
