Quality Manager for a Spirits Packaging Company 5.0 5.0 out of 5 stars Morrison, TN 37357 Quality Manager (Salary) SUMMARY We are currently looking for a talented Quality Manager to provide development and leadership of the Quality Assurance and Food Safety programs reporting to the Site Director at a Spirits Co-packing Company. This role is the subject matter expert assuring facility operations are following government and food safety regulations as well as customer requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions and examining functionality.
  • Interacts with other departments to resolve problems and ensure customer/production needs are met.
  • Ensuring that the production lines adhere to standards and procedures and comply with legal requirements.
  • Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and trending data.
  • Keeping testing equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements.
  • Documenting all QC controls and processes by managing the Quality Management System.
  • Responsible for the processes, documentation, implementation, and test procedures to maintain production operations and high-quality standards as well as continuous improvement in the production of blending, bottling, and new customer products.
  • Ensures safety guidelines are followed and compliance of company policies.
  • Conducts GMP audits in designated areas to ensure assurance to the Quality Management System.
  • Other duties as required, directed, or assigned by the Line Manager.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Customer Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Engineering and Technology — Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying hygienic principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
  • Production and Processing — Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs , and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of quality, food safe goods.
  • Intermediate Language Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  • Intermediate Math Skills
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Very High Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Computer Skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite, ERPs, and Google Applications EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a production QC process control environment
Specialized Training:

HACCP certified, ISO 9001 Standard

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Will be responsible for training personnel.
  • Line Manager to Quality Technicians
