Express Employment Professionals in conjunction with an established textile company in Johnson City, TN is seeking a machine operator. Repetitive bending, twisting, climbing, stooping, standing daily. Able to work in a hot, fast pace environment. 12.50/hr, Monday-Friday 7a-5p.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Loads fabric and/or paper rolls onto A-frame machine and inspects materials for defective printing, improper alignment, and color variations. Matches appropriate paperwork to fabric and/or paper being inspected. Cuts out defective fabric and sets aside for transfer to pound goods or second quality area. Reduces large rolls of fabric and/or paper to smaller quantity rolls. Transfers rolls of inspected materials to pallets at back of inspection machine. Maintains documentation on the quantity of material inspected and quantity of seconds.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. If you are interested in this position please call 423-282-4672 for more details.
