We’re currently seeking a skilled Fabrication CNC Technician to join our dynamic team who thrives in a creative, fast-paced work environment with high-impact projects and a strong, team-oriented culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines, including but not limited to routers, lasers, and hot wire foam cutters Create, modify, and prepare digital files for CNC operations, ensuring accurate toolpaths, material optimization, and compatibility with machine specifications Edit or create CNC programs using G-code to ensure precise execution of custom fabrication tasks and optimize machine performance for various materials and designs Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, 3D renders, and CAD files Ensure accurate fabrication of parts according to design and build specifications Maintain CNC machines through routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic repairs Collaborate closely with designers and fabricators to execute custom projects Operate and maintain hot wire foam cutting equipment for precise foam shaping Understand foam materials and apply appropriate cutting techniques for complex shapes and props Assemble fabricated CNC components and materials according to design specifications, ensuring accuracy, alignment, and structural integrity for final builds Conduct basic inspections and measurements to verify tolerances and quality Contribute to process improvements and uphold high safety and production standards
Essential Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of various material properties, especially foam, wood, plastics, and composites Ability to perform precise setups, measurements, and part inspections using calipers, squares, and other tools Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality control and accuracy while under pressure Capable of working independently while also collaborating effectively with design and fabrication teams Adaptable and calm under pressure in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments Strong problem-solving skills for on-the-fly adjustments and troubleshooting machine issues Excellent communication and documentation skills to relay updates and maintain build consistency
