The Machine Shop Attendant is responsible for assisting in the operation of machinery and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities Monitor, organize, and take inventory of shop tools and racks for ordering purposes Clean all machines, workbenches, work areas, steel cages, welding shop, and CNC area Sandblast when needed, monitor all tool bins, and attend to all lighting needs Assist machine operators in setting up and operating machines Maintain cleanliness and organization of the machine shop Perform routine maintenance on machines as needed Follow safety protocols and guidelines Complete all assigned tasks as needed Qualifications Must be able to read caliper, standard, and metric tape measures Basic understanding of machining processes Ability to read and interpret technical drawings Strong attention to detail Good communication skills Must bring own tools; Swisher does not supply tools Ability to work in a team environment
