Craft the finest interiors in aviation Gulfstream Furniture Center is looking for motivated and dependable entry level CNC Tech to craft unique designs in award-winning cabins. The position’s primary function will work with aluminum and Nomex panels on CNC machine but also including preparation of panels, completing edge fill , installing inserts all used for custom furniture and potential to work with the laser machine cutting veneer for the Wood Shop. Available Position is ONLY for the Weekend Shift ; Fri, Sat, Sun 0500-1730, may be trained initially on 1st shift (Mon-Thurs 0500-1530) then transitioned to weekends with notification. The weekend shift is a 3 x 12 hour shifts. Work 36 hours and be paid for 40, plus shift differential pay.” Experience in aerospace industry preferred. Position Purpose :
Set up and operate automated machines to fabricate parts, applying knowledge of shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, maintainability materials and layout techniques.
Job Description Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
Under supervision, operate automated machine using existing programs. Remove/replace cutting tools and offsets as required. Inspect condition of tools and replace as needed. Inspect cut material/part prior to CNC operation to ensure conformity and compliance with blueprints, models, and/or engineering documents. Identify material and appropriate cutting tools. Set up material and inspect for serviceability.
Additional Functions:
Monitor material supply. . Validate preventative maintenance and minor repairs on machines. Alert maintenance of any repair/preventative issues. . Maintain a clean and safe work environment . Comply with 5S and Environmental, Health and Safety requirements. . Perform other duties as assigned.
