The ideal candidate will have experience in construction of military gear (load bearing vest, back packs, etc) or other similar mid- to heavy-weight material industrial sewing, and be proficient in operating and maintaining an industrial sewing machine. This role involves producing high-quality pieces and products, with attention to detail. The Industrial Sewer will work in an office environment, contributing to the production process in collaboration with supervisors and team members. Responsibilities Operate industrial sewing machines to construct garments and pieces according to specifications. Prepare materials for sewing and assembly. Assemble various fabric components as part of the production process. Ensure that all finished products meet quality standards and design requirements. Maintain a clean and organized workspace within the facility. Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and efficiency. Troubleshoot minor sewing machine issues and perform routine maintenance as needed. Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working in the warehouse environment. Aid in other production areas from time to time with sewing demands are lessened. Required Skills Proven experience in sewing of mid to heavy weight materials preferred. Proficiency in operating various types of sewing machines preferred. Willingness to learn and be taught. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions. Ability to accurately and concisely record procedure and time. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Ability to sit and operate industrial sewing machine continuous for several hours. Eyesight and hand dexterity capable of hours long precision work. Familiarity and comfort with using computers.
