Sewing Machine Operator/Workroom Associate Gaggle Home Walterboro, SC 29488 Overview We are a high-end interior fabrication workroom working exclusively with interior designers throughout the SC, NC, and GA areas to produce custom and one-of-a-kind draperies, cushions, pillows, and custom upholstered products for projects. Our clients work has been included in Verandah Magazine, Architectural Digest, Homes and Gardens, Travel and Leisure, and more. While a passion for great interior design is a plus, you’ll be working one on one with our two owner/operators to create products for projects on a day to day basis. We are seeking a skilled Operator to join our collaborative, design-oriented team. The ideal candidate will have ample experience in sewing, with a strong understanding of fabric manipulation, textile construction, and detailed work. As an Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that high-quality products are created efficiently and effectively. Duties Operate sewing machines to construct high end home furnishings/draperies/cushions/etc. according to specifications. Fabricate and assemble various fabric components, ensuring adherence to high quality standards. Maintain an organized workspace within the workroom, keeping tools and materials readily accessible. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Occasional overtime may be requested with notice. Project due dates and calendars are shared with the entire team so that we all are aware of current workloads. Inspect finished products for quality assurance, making adjustments as necessary. Requirements Proven experience operating sewing machines and understanding construction techniques. Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work consistently. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing production needs. We are happy to help train and grow with the right candidate, but a base knowledge of sewing techniques and use of industrial sewing machines is absolutely required.
