Dryer Furnace Operator Full-time, Permanent One-site Location:

In this role, you will be responsible forall aspects pertaining to the operation of dryer island and allassociated equipment at the production facility locations. Theindividual would be operating mobile equipment, as well asperforming maintenance activities on equipment and administrativefunctions to support the site operations.
The core responsibilitiesand duties include:
Maintain internal relationships with co-workersand supervisors Receive and maintain all required safetycertifications Receive, maintain, and stay proficient on associatedequipment related to role responsibilities Take ownership ofpersonal development Adhere to agreed policies and practices tomaintain an effective workplace capable of meeting its objectivesManage relationships internally and externally Share expertise andknowledge Train with shift control room operators to reachcertification to operate the Dryer Island controls for fill induties Drive HSE culture at the site including environmental andsafety accountability throughout the organization Proactively crosstrain in plant roles such as Control room operator, Chipper & Logcrane, etc. Using daily checklists and assigned preventativemaintenance, maintain optimal performance of the plants dryingcapabilities Perform other duties as assigned Complete productionlog sheets, work instructions, and other related paperwork Monitorgauge readings and make adjustments when necessary Performshousekeeping duties as requested, is responsible for keepingdesignated area clean and clear of safety hazards Working with themaintenance team on troubleshooting issues in assigned area buildand expand upon electrical/mechanical aptitudes Approach issues,mechanical failures, and operational issues with a ContinuousImprovement mindset Proactively work with supervisors to bringbusiness improvements forward that improve operational costs andefficiencies Qualify for control room backup operator Predictoperational adjustments that need to be made based on weather andother circumstances Who you are?
You possess the following:
Highschool diploma or equivalent required Minimum of 3-5 yearsindustrial experience Ability to adapt to working within a team orlone working environment, with minimal supervision Maintain andadjust equipment to maximize production and minimize downtime Musthave a professional attitude and work well with others Demonstratedelectrical and/or mechanical aptitude Promote a safe workingenvironment and follow all workplace and job safety proceduresPerform/coordinate good housekeeping in the facility Operateloaders, forklifts, manlifts, and various other mobile equipmentAbility to use HMI interfaces to make operational adjustments asneeded What’s it like to work at Drax?
