Summary of Qualifications Has developed skills through 1 area of equipment (wire annealing) through formal training or considerable work experience. Operate furnace to anneal up to 16 – 16 strands of wire simultaneously. Adjust furnace controls per PLC to maintain proper furnace temperature, atmosphere and speed of wire through furnace. Adjust casting rolls and guides to obtain required cast and helix of wire being annealed Remove and replace tags and tie wire as required. May separate and drop loops of wire onto pay-off stand. Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Required to enter work order details in Axiom or designated software. Must be able to record time in Kronos or other timekeeping system, enter time off requests and retrieve electronic pay details via online ADP. Must occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Hoists, cranes and lifts are available for use and must be used to handle reels and spools greater than 65 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. Frequently required to stand, walk and sit and occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. Competencies Motivated Proactive Strong interpersonal skills.
