Oven Operator The Crump Group USA Inc. Nashville, NC 27856 Overview The Oven Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of commercial/industrial ovens used to dehydrate food products. Basic duties include preparing machinery for daily use, understanding and maintaining production requirements, inspecting machinery for safety issues, and training other employees. Responsibilities

• Load raw racks into ovens and unload cooked racks
• Program ovens as required based on product requirements
• Coordinate with those responsible for water activity testing and complete all necessary documentation
• Move finished product to the finishing areas
• Performing minor maintenance to equipment and machinery
• Learning the operating procedures required for machinery and equipment, and the passing of that knowledge to other employees
• Proposing improvements to the process or machines as needed
• Reporting safety hazards within the work environment
• Maintains compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, GMPs, and Critical Control Points as a part of the Food Safety program
• Maintains communication with peers and management on production-related issues
• Troubleshooting equipment and machinery problems and anticipating potential problems Skills
• Minimum 1 to 3 years’ experience preferably in a food manufacturing environment is desired
• Ability to follow all safety guidelines and maintain a safe workplace
• Good Mechanical aptitude

Full-time Pay:

starting at $16.00/hour; add .75 per hour shift differential for night shifts Expected hours: 36-48 per week (84 hours in a two-week pay cycle)
