Furnace Operator BAM, Inc. – small manufacturing company in West Knoxville 10536 Lexington Drive, Knoxville, TN 37932 •Serious Inquiries Only• BAM, Inc. Expanding manufacturing company 24/7 operation in West Knoxville is looking for reliable, self-motivated, furnace production operators to join our team. 2nd Shift (3pm – 11pm) availability, you will work weekends but will have two days off in a row. You start training on 1st shift (7am – 3pm) before going to 2nd shift. Full time employees are offered a complete benefits package with medical, dental, vision insurance, STD, LTD, holiday/vacation pay. We also have a 401k option with company match after 90 days. Uniforms and on the job training provided. Drug screening and background check conducted prior to hire. Rate of pay is based on experience plus shift premium pay.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Position is in a manufacturing plant worksite setting that involves discomforts such as weather related summer heat or cool temps and associated risks that require safety precautions. Must utilize appropriate provided safety equipment for environment working in when applicable (suits, masks, gloves, etc.).
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
•Minimum of a High school diploma or GED is required, some college is preferred. •Production manufacturing experience/environment is helpful Primary Job Functions/Skills include: Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds; ability to push/pull up to 50 pounds; good problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills; good oral communication skills. Loads and unloads customer product from furnaces. Stages, inspects, weighs, and packs products. Logging data and temps. Maintaining applicable paperwork and reviews for accuracy. Responsible and able to work independently without constant supervision. Must be comfortable standing/being on feet for long periods of time.
