Summary Performs scheduled and unscheduled Tool & Die making/repair and equipment maintenance activities.

Employ various technologies including:

sheet metal blanking line, Transfer, and progressive presses. Responsibilities Responsible for troubleshooting, upkeep, preventive maintenance, dimensional capability, making, and continuous improvement of various tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures in an automotive stamping and robotic welding facility. Committed involvement with quality, cost savings, and continuous Tool, Die, and mechanical improvements Any other duties deemed necessary or appropriate, including but not limited to die setting as required. Part finalizing to checking fixtures / CAD data Engineering changes/trim/form/hole Draw dies/binder spotting/timing out balancing blocks Mig / tig/arc welding Tool steel repair Cast steel / cast iron Requirements High school Diploma or GED equivalent USDOL Tool & Die journeyman’s card or proof of (8) years related experience. Understanding of all basic manual toolroom machinery and hand tools CNC is a definite plus, but not a necessity Press experience – Transfer and progressive medium & large Minimum 5 years on the floor in a tooling atmosphere Minimum (2) years’ experience troubleshooting in a production stamping plant. Experience with the implementation of engineering changes is a plus.
