Role Overview:
As a Tooling Maintenance Technician, you will work closely with our production and tool room teams to service and maintain molds, assist with their delivery and storage, and support various maintenance and repair tasks. Your role will ensure that our tooling is always in top condition and our work areas are well-maintained.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Mold Maintenance:
Work with production to service and maintain all molds, ensuring they are in optimal condition.
Logistics Support:
Assist with the delivery of molds to and from the Tool Room for repair or service, and return them to proper storage or machine as required.
Preventive Maintenance:
Collaborate with the Tool Shop Supervisor and Repair Leader to participate in the preventive maintenance of molds and maintain service documentation.
Staging and Documentation:
Help stage, secure, and document molds for shipping in and out. Ensure proper handling and tracking of all tooling.
Team Support:
Provide assistance to Tool Room personnel as needed, and follow safe work practices at all times.
Training and Housekeeping:
Assist in training staff on proper tooling maintenance practices and contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work area in the Tool Room.
Tool Repairs:
Gain knowledge and experience by assisting in tool repairs whenever possible.
Minimum Qualifications:
Some knowledge of tools and their maintenance.
Required Skills:
Strong communication skills. Knowledge of crane and rigging operations. Familiarity with forms governing the job function. Understanding of key Quality & Environmental Management Systems procedures related to tooling maintenance. Why Join Us?
