$48/hr + Per Diem + Full Travel & Lodging Provided Job Summary CornerStone Staffing is actively seeking a Precision CNC Grinder to support a cutting-edge aerospace manufacturing program. Live anywhere in the U.S.—we’ll fly you to Connecticut and cover all travel logistics, so you can stay focused on your craft. This role is ideal for experienced grinders passionate about high-tolerance, mission-critical aerospace components. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll perform complex grinding operations to shape, finish, and perfect aerospace components that meet rigorous safety and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC ID and/or OD grinders (centerless or cylindrical) Perform full machine setup, including truing and dressing of grinding wheels Grind precision aerospace components to ultra-tight tolerances Use setup documentation to ensure consistent, high-quality results Maintain tooling and ensure optimal wheel performance

Tools & Work Environment Machines :

CNC centerless and cylindrical grinders

Materials :

Aerospace-grade components

Tools :

Grinding wheels, truing tools, dressing equipment, precision gauges

Environment :

High-performance, aerospace machining shop Minimum Qualifications 3+ years of CNC grinding experience (ID/OD, centerless, cylindrical) Ability to independently perform setups, truing, and dressing Experience in aerospace or high-precision machining environments Preferred Skills Direct experience with centerless or cylindrical grinding operations Familiarity with aerospace quality and machining standards Proven track record of precision grinding in production settings
