Job Description
Tooling / Die Technician SFI of Arkansas, LLC 670 Equity Ave, Conway, AR 72032 Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, fabricating, and maintaining precision tools and dies used in manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with CAD software, as well as proficiency in operating various machinery such as lathes and CNC equipment. Your expertise will contribute to the efficiency and quality of our production operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricate, assemble, repair, and maintain dies, tools, jigs, and fixtures used in manufacturing processes. Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical specifications to construct precise tooling. Operate lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other machining equipment to produce high-quality components. Conduct troubleshooting and repair of tooling to minimize production downtime. Inspect and test completed tools and dies for accuracy, making necessary adjustments. Maintain accurate records of tool modifications, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities. Work closely with production and engineering teams to improve tool design and performance. Ensure all tools and dies meet quality and safety standards, complying with company policies and industry regulations. Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing principles. Adhere to workplace safety protocols, including the proper handling of hazardous materials.
Qualifications & Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited apprenticeship or technical program preferred. 3+ years of experience in tool and die making, preferably in a steel manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of machining techniques Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications. Proficiency in operating CNC and manual machining equipment. Experience with CAD/CAM software for designing tools and dies. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Work Environment:
Industrial/manufacturing setting with exposure to heavy materials, machinery, and noise. May require standing for long periods, lifting heavy objects, and working in varying temperatures. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

$17.00 – $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
