The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and adjusting dies in various machines to ensure the production of high-quality parts. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, precision measuring instruments, and the ability to read and interpret schematics. The Die Setter plays a crucial role in maintaining production efficiency and quality standards. Duties Set up and adjust dies in stamping, molding, or machining equipment according to specifications. Operate lathes and other machinery to produce parts with precision. Utilize hand tools and precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate dimensions. Assemble components as per engineering drawings and specifications. Read and interpret CAD drawings and schematics to guide the setup process. Troubleshoot issues with tooling or machinery during production runs. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with engineering teams to improve tooling designs and processes. Experience Proficiency in math skills for precise measurements and calculations. Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software for design interpretation. Familiarity with tooling setups and adjustments in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of machining processes, including the use of lathe machines. Ability to work with various hand tools effectively. Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges is highly desirable. Previous experience in a Die Setter or similar role is preferred but not mandatory; candidates with relevant skills will be considered.
